12-18 months before the big day is the best time to start. Lead times can vary from 4-8 months, and you need time for alterations so keep it as stress-free as possible by giving yourself more than enough time. Only go dress shopping when you feel ready to commit. It’s tempting to start trying on dresses as soon as you’re engaged – but dresses can be discontinued, so the dress you tried on 6 months ago might not be available to order when the time comes. Of course, if you fall in love with your dream dress early and you just know it’s the one, then snap it up!

Yes. We work by private appointment only – the beauty of this is that you get full, uninterrupted access to the studio at a time convenient to you. We offer appointments Monday to Saturday, and also offer weekday evening appointments to fit with our busy brides!

I recommend bringing a maximum of 3 guests with you. If you bring more people then you’re probably going to have a mix of opinions in the studio, which will overwhelm and confuse you. Your dress needs to be a reflection of you. Bring your best people that you know will have your interest at heart. Also, your chosen dress needs to be kept hush hush until the big day!

With a made to order dress we require 50% of the balance to be paid at the time of order, with the remaining 50% to be paid when your dress arrives. If you purchase an ex-sample gown payment is made in full and your dress is taken away with you.

A lot of our brides recommend us to their friends and family, so we ask all brides at the time of booking if any friends or family have bought a dress from us. If you tell us they have, then their chosen dress is removed from the rail prior to your appointment.
Planning a wedding is probably new territory for most couples, so please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
